[00:00.000] Hello, my name is Pastor Ben, the director of the Total Living Center. [00:11.960] And I am Jackie, the development coordinator for Total Living Center. [00:15.800] And we happen to be husband and wife. [00:17.680] Yeah, dynamic duo. [00:18.680] Yes, and we want to share with you a little bit about the Total Living Center. [00:23.080] We are basically a faith-based community center [00:25.680] located at the southwest end of Canton. [00:30.000] So Jackie, what are some of the services [00:32.320] that we offer to our community? [00:34.120] Yes, the free services that we provide to our community [00:37.440] almost on a weekly basis. [00:39.400] Our lunches, weekly hot meals, nutritious, [00:44.160] fresh hot meals weekly. [00:46.360] We have the salon, which is open for free haircuts [00:50.040] for the community. [00:51.080] We have a chiropractic clinic. [00:52.960] This clinic helps with adjustments, [00:55.820] giving consultations for chiropractic care, [00:59.640] grocery distribution. [01:01.240] With the rate of inflation that has just hit our country, [01:06.320] grocery distribution is one of the areas [01:08.080] that is growing rapidly. [01:09.280] So we offer grocery distribution. [01:11.380] We have a laundry mat. [01:12.600] People need resources such as clean laundry. [01:16.400] So we have laundry mat, [01:17.780] we have AA meetings that happen weekly, [01:20.640] And we are here to empower individuals [01:24.200] who walk through the doors. [01:26.000] That includes partnering with various services [01:29.180] in our community like community service, [01:31.040] job and family services, Vantage, a job, [01:34.480] which is a youth program. [01:36.080] And we are all about empowering those individuals [01:39.760] who walk through our door. [01:42.160] And one of the things that we have found out [01:44.040] that those individuals that want to take the next step [01:48.000] in their life, that they are ready to come out [01:50.080] of drug addiction, alcoholism, [01:52.760] they wanna come out of poverty. [01:54.600] So we have something we call Total Living Center Academy. [01:58.680] Yes, I love it. [01:59.520] We're very excited about this. [02:00.840] We have been doing it, but this is the first time [02:03.600] we are actually going to offer it [02:05.120] in terms of a curriculum. [02:06.940] We have a curriculum we have developed [02:08.960] where we systematically take any individual [02:12.200] that is wanting to be empowered, [02:14.040] to be empowered in life, to come out of addiction, [02:16.320] to be free and to go and serve their world. [02:20.280] So we are very excited about that. [02:21.880] So in the back end of all the free services, [02:24.880] we also empower individuals so they can be everything [02:28.360] that God created them to become. [02:30.320] So, and for those that also want to grow in faith, [02:34.480] in their faith with God, [02:35.400] we are faith-based community center. [02:37.860] We have a church service, a weekly church service [02:40.460] where they can come and we can worship together. [02:42.800] So these are some of the things that we offer here [02:45.800] at the Total Living Center to actually empower our community [02:49.880] and to be a service to them. [02:52.520] So one of our outreaches that we have is a monthly outreach [02:58.200] in which we distribute much needed items to the community. [03:01.680] Yes, special distribution. [03:02.880] Special distributions, it happens once a month. [03:05.400] And during these outreaches, we give away hats and gloves, [03:08.600] hygiene bags, full-size products, not little to goes, [03:12.360] but full-size hygiene items, detergent and fabric softener. [03:17.160] We give away backpacks throughout the year. [03:20.120] Full school supplies. [03:21.120] Full of school supplies. [03:22.120] So we are a community that we understand what they need [03:26.080] and we're here to meet that need. [03:28.280] To give you an idea of our impact in 2022, [03:32.240] we have a few stats to let you know about. [03:34.760] Yes, as far as our outreach efforts, [03:37.160] once a month event, we actually had 2,503 people [03:41.400] came through our doors for those events. [03:45.480] And out of that, we also present the gospel. [03:47.980] We had 152 people come to Christ. [03:51.360] Yeah, it's huge. [03:52.200] 152. [03:53.120] So we are very excited about that. [03:55.860] But also, in all the weekly meals that we offer, [03:59.440] Monday through Thursday, we offer five meals, [04:01.520] like Jackie's saying. [04:02.800] We had 13,380 meals that we cooked [04:07.160] and that we fed this year. [04:09.800] And also we salon had 462 haircuts, free haircuts. [04:14.680] Our laundry mat, 2,192 loads of laundry were done [04:19.440] in the year 2022. [04:21.000] And then also when it comes to the pounds of food [04:24.720] that we distributed during our grocery distribution, [04:27.840] 172,000 pounds of food are distributed to our family. [04:34.240] It's a lot of food. [04:35.080] I can say God has been good in providing for our community [04:39.120] as far as what we distribute. [04:40.720] So these are just to give you a picture [04:43.200] of how we serve our community.
