How To Use UPM Cold Mix

A new person on a patch crew should not learn the steps off the bag while traffic is waiting. Unique needed a short video that shows how UPM cold mix actually goes in the hole. Beacon made that a straight how-to, in a little over two minutes. Two instructions do the work. The narrator says to sweep out the loose debris and leave the water, because the mix will still stick to the wall of the hole. He says to overfill by 25 percent, tamp it, and open the road. Traffic finishes the compaction, he says, and the patch will not come out, guaranteed. That is the product talking. It is not a result Beacon measured. Another company hiring Beacon for a how-to this short is buying a crew card they can play before the first stop of the day. A data sheet can say permanent repair. It does not show how full to fill the hole, or that a wet hole is not a reason to wait. The video can. It can live on the product page, in a dealer portal, or on a phone in the truck. Unique did not need a longer demonstration. They needed the job to be obvious the first time someone uses the mix. That is what this video is for.
