House Call Vets Opening
A new series has about a minute to explain itself. House Call Vets is two veterinary practices in Northeast Ohio that bring the work to the client, not the other way around. One doctor and a vet tech cover miles in a mobile medical unit. The other, the doctor the library titles as Sharmyn Clark, rides a motorcycle to the next call. Beacon's open gets that premise on screen before a viewer has time to leave. The video does the job of a show open. It names the place, the contrast between suburb and woods, and the promise that a routine call does not stay routine. It closes on a small surprise in the field, baby sparrows, instead of a list of services. The narration calls the doctors and the tech by name. It does not stop to explain mobile veterinary medicine. Another company hiring Beacon for this kind of video is buying the first minute of a series. A station, a practice, or a brand with a show needs the viewer to understand who it is about and why the next half hour is worth staying for. A homepage paragraph does that job slowly. An open does it while the picture is already moving. They did not need a long explanation of the practice. They needed an open that states the premise and gets out of the way. That is what this video is for.
