A partnership announcement reads like a press release. The people who got the help are not in it, and a board forgets the tone of the thank-you by the next meeting.
Bounce's video is that thank-you, said to MAGNET's board by the people at Bounce Innovation Hub. Doug Weintraub, the CEO, says the mayor trusted them with the building, and that the hope was to bring MAGNET's Iterator program to Bounce in Akron. He thanks the board for the money and for the equipment in the makerspace. The video says the building is 300,000 square feet. That figure is what he says. It is not a result Beacon measured.
Another hub or development group hiring Beacon for this kind of video is buying a thank-you the board can replay, and a partner can forward. A meeting thanks the people who were in the room. The video thanks them again when they are not, and it shows the next partner why the relationship is worth having.
Bounce did not need a longer list of programs. They needed the board to hear the thanks from the people who use the building. That is what this video is for.

[00:20.040] I've worked in this building for quite some time and I can tell you that the last 18 months
[00:23.920] have been some of the most exciting, inspiring and magical that I've experienced yet.
[00:28.400] And that's because we've been given an opportunity from our mayor who envisioned something great
[00:32.480] for his city and who also trusted us to go with our gut and bring his dream to a reality.
[00:37.640] So we've had a blast.
[00:40.320] My name is Doug Weintraub and I'm the CEO of Bounce Innovation Hub.
[00:44.920] And before I get started, I all want the board members to know that I am a past board member
[00:49.720] of Camp.
[00:50.720] This is what we called it back in the 2000 to 2003 time frame.
[00:55.520] So I'm excited to be able to talk to you today and I'm most excited to thank you, the board,
[01:01.840] for the financial commitment that Magnet has made above and beyond the resource commitment.
[01:08.240] When we envisioned this project many, many months ago, my hope was to be able to work
[01:14.960] with Magnet to bring the iterator program to Bounce.
[01:19.280] And in the past, it's always been kind of a rocky start and stop here in Akron and Summit
[01:24.280] County, but with the relationship with Ethan and the capabilities that we think we could
[01:29.960] bring to this market, Ethan graciously agreed and has supported us financially and supported
[01:37.560] us along the way with resources.
[01:40.440] So Brandon and his team and Alex and of course Ethan, it's been a wonderful relationship
[01:46.600] thus far and we're just getting started.
[01:48.360] So I truly thank you for the commitment and the support with the equipment for the Makerspace.
[01:54.920] We put together what we call quiet Makerspace on our first floor.
[01:59.680] Most of that equipment was provided by Magnet and on our second floor, we're going to be
[02:04.280] putting together some routers, some welding equipment, some woodworking equipment, all
[02:09.080] types of heavier types of equipment and it'll support the rest of the building as well from
[02:14.000] a Makerspace perspective.
[02:15.560] So we're 300,000 square feet, we're all part of the same EST network and we truly are a
[02:22.360] collaborative arrangement between Magnet and Bounce and I can't thank you again enough
[02:27.920] for the opportunity.
