Engineering Tragedy 60 Second Age of Steam Roundhouse Trailer

A viewer will not sit down for a long story because a title sounds serious. They will give it a minute if the minute already has a fight in it. This trailer runs about that long, and the title ties it to the Age of Steam Roundhouse. The opening is music. Then the voices are in it: a bridge someone questions, wood where a bridge should be stronger, drawings a man was hired to make and not to criticize, firemen who did not throw water on the fire, and a man called Mr. Stone who is told he has not been dismissed. It ends on a gunshot, and on whether Mr. Stone is all right. That is what a sixty-second trailer does. It does not explain the disaster. It leaves the question in the room. A museum or a program that needs an audience for the longer story is buying that question, not a summary. Another organization hiring Beacon for a trailer like this is buying the minute that has to work in front of a homepage button or a broadcast break. The full account can take as long as it takes. This video is the reason to stay for it. They did not need a lecture on how the bridge was built. They needed the confrontation. That is what this video is for.

[00:20.000] I'm questioning the design of this bridge. Those bridges were made of wood. This is- This is how it's it. [00:26.000] I employed you to make drawings, not to criticize my intelligence. [00:40.000] I want to know why firemen didn't even attempt to throw water on the fire. [00:46.000] Mr. Stone, you have not been dismissed. [00:50.000] Mr. Stone! [00:54.000] I thought I heard a gunshot. Mr. Stone, are you okay?
