Ascend -vs- FRC video
A contractor comparing siding does not want to do the comparing alone. Ascend Composite Cladding System's video puts the product next to fiber cement, labeled FRC on screen, on the same house with the same crew. There is no narration. The cards and the picture do the talking. It runs about two minutes. The open asks which is faster and easier to install. The video then shows the shared tools, and the extra steps the cards say FRC needs so the warranty is not voided: a vacuum saw, a respirator, touch-up paint, caulk, and jigs. It shows a straight cut on Ascend, a 7-inch exposure, and a 3/4-inch projection the card says works with most trim. The FRC side is shown needing its own trim, plus sealing, joint flashing, caulk, and touch-up paint. The finished wall carries the claim in type. Ascend's card says virtually maintenance-free and no painting required. The FRC card says touch-up painting over the life of the product. The last card is one word: Faster. Another company hiring Beacon for this kind of video is buying a comparison a salesperson can play without talking over it. The next customer may sell a building product against a category people already know. A spec sheet makes the buyer do the work. This video does the comparing on one wall. They did not need a narrator to walk through the install. They needed the difference on screen, where a contractor can see it. That is what this video is for.
